👋 I’m the brains behind the beauty, folks! With my Master’s degree in human-computer interaction and two research publications, I know a thing or two about creating designs that will make you go “aha! That’s it”. I’ve worked with the big ones like Alibaba — the B2B giant and Trip.com — the largest OTA in terms of GMV, and let me tell you, I’ve left my mark on every project I’ve worked on!

When it comes to generating revenue, I’m your go-to guy! I can take your business ideas and turn them into designs that will make your bank account sing! I’m a data-driven designer, and I know my way around business metrics, OKRs, and KPIs like the back of my hand.

I’m also a servant-leader when it comes to managing teams! I’ve been leading a team of 3 UX and 3 UI designers for almost three years, and let me tell you, they’re the best in the business. My goal is to create my design team within an organization and help them grow alongside me!

I have extensive hands-on digital product UX experience across all channels in one of the largest OTAs in the world — Trip.com Group and the biggest B2B e-commerce platform in the world — Alibaba.com. I have built, mentored, and improved Design Teams and aligned our goals with Business from the ground up. During my tenure, I’ve spearheaded large cross-BU and cross-departmental projects to first build trust, followed by achieving design consistency across product lines, improving code reusability, and attaining efficient resource utilization for Design and Development.

My persevered efforts to not settle for anything short of the best & optimal user experience have earned me accolades from Group Level Design Management and Business Stakeholders alike. I’m exceptional in the art of rapid prototyping to generate POCs for C-level executives.

My latest POC on improving Hotel cross-sell across the entire user journey was shared with our CEO and our Group Consultant — ex-CEO of Booking.com. The project gained momentum with strong interest from Business stakeholders and I later executed the project from scratch on the Trip.com App. The feature is still in its infancy but shows great potential with user engagement rising from 2% to 36% for Hotel cross-sell within the first 2 weeks of its launch.

As an individual, I believe that there’s no way that one can achieve great gains without taking great chances — without pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. Every day I challenge myself to get a little better at ‘UX-anything’, to achieve a deeper understanding of business needs & users’ behavior, and, in doing so, I’m able to generate great value for Business, mentor my Team on UX/Interaction best practices, and instill curiosity & creativity.

I hope through humility, integrity, and good design, today I can make a person better, tomorrow a society better, and the day after tomorrow create a better world — a future that looks brighter than the present.

In conclusion, I’m an inquisitive problem solver, a tireless designer, a servant leader, an enabler, and I look forward to being a part of your Company culture. Summary: I have hands-on experience in one of the largest B2B e-commerce platforms in the world — Alibaba.com. I have improved the overall Buyer satisfaction, conversion, and engagement by researching, testing, and designing the entire Buyer journey on Alibaba.com. It includes Header Navigation, Search Experience, Data collection, Feedback collection, Buyer & Supplier backstage, Cross Border Sourcing tools, and other Buyer/Seller facing platforms for Alibaba.com.

As a senior experience designer, my job is to research & understand the business and customers' needs, extract actual product requirements, and manage & execute design and development — all in constant communication with not only my team but also business stakeholders, category operators, buyers, and global sellers.

For instance, I recently collaborated with Business teams to optimize the B2B Sampling process on our website. After brainstorming I led the design and created multiple demos to help visualize the solution. During this project, I used a new design solution by using a right-side floating panel as opposed to a new page. The solution was aimed at efficiency and multi-tasking which I had uncovered during my user research phase. This solution was well accepted by businesses and during user-testing, it proved to be highly effective for the users because of its simplicity and good usability.
